Job summary

Synopsys in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a hands-on engineer specializing in high-frequency electromagnetics to support customers using Ansys electromagnetics tools. You will train, present, and deliver custom electromagnetic solutions, collaborating with product teams to enhance capabilities.

You will travel up to 25% and work on-site at our Sunnyvale office, engaging with senior customers and leveraging your SI/PI expertise to solve complex design challenges and drive adoption of advanced simulation

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on high-frequency electromagnetics.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering software environment with hands-on use of simulation tools.
• Expertise in signal and power integrity analysis including cross-talk, impedance, and eye diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of circuit-level and timing analysis for SI applications and standards.
• Experience with package, PCB, and connector design processes and EDA tools.
• Fundamental understanding of microwave and antenna concepts (S-parameters, propagation, scattering).
• Ability to conduct training, deliver presentations, and facilitate webinars for technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support and guidance to customers using Ansys electromagnetics simulation tools.
• Engage with key accounts to deliver electromagnetic solutions tailored to customer workflows.
• Conduct intermediate and advanced training sessions, webinars, and presentations for customers and internal teams.
• Scope, plan, and deliver professional services projects with cross-functional teams.
• Gather and analyze customer requirements and work with product development to enhance Ansys capabilities.
• Test and validate new software releases on industrial problems and provide feedback for improvements.
• Share best practices and foster knowledge exchange across disciplines.
• Travel up to 25% to support customer engagements and training.
