Job summary

Rivet is hiring a Senior Hardware Engineer, EMI/EMC, to own design, testing, and compliance of our rugged hardware. You will tackle EMI/EMC challenges across subsystems and full systems, translating requirements into practical designs and validation plans.

You will partner with EE, RF, mechanical, firmware, and systems teams, and work with external manufacturers and labs to achieve certifications for demanding environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional EMI/EMC engineering experience in complex electronic systems.
• Hands-on experience with MIL-STD-461G/H and MIL-STD testing methods.
• Experience reviewing PCB layouts and mechanical designs for EMI/EMC performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead EMI/EMC design, testing, and compliance for Rivet hardware products.
• Drive MIL-STD-461G/H and FCC/standards compliance across subsystems and full systems.
• Review PCBs, grounding, shielding, and cabling to mitigate EMI/EMC risks.
• Collaborate with EE, RF, mechanical, firmware, and systems teams to trace root causes.
• Coordinate with external partners and labs for testing and certifications.
