Job summary

SpaceX’s Starlink Aviation team seeks an EMI/EMC engineer to ensure the hardware performance of Starlink equipment aboard aircraft and mobile systems. You will perform analysis, design, and testing at board, unit, subsystem, and system levels, collaborating with EE, ME, DSP, and software teams to improve reliability and performance.

You will work with advanced EMI/RF test equipment, support certification efforts, and contribute to the next generation of in-flight connectivity, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related STEM field.
• 1+ year EMI/EMC environment experience including analysis, design, and testing.
• 1+ year experience with radio test equipment (spectrum analyzers, VNAs, etc).
• 1+ year programming experience in Python, C++, or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis and design related to EMI, lightning effects, grounding, shielding, and RF phenomena.
• Interface with EE/ME/DSP/software teams to test and validate systems.
• Characterize EMI/RF problems from board to system level and troubleshoot in the field.
• Support EMI/EMC testing for certification and document results.
