Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Neurophysiology (EMG) Technologist I to obtain standard and complex nerve conduction recordings and monitor neurophysiological phenomena using appropriate techniques. The role includes preparing and cleaning testing rooms and delivering patient-centered care according to department guidelines.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferred graduate of an electro-neurodiagnostic program, plus at least one year of clinical/hospital

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of accredited electro-neurodiagnostic technology program preferred.
• One year in a clinic and/or hospital setting, with documentation of 50 EEGs or EMGs.
• BLS or CNCT or RNCST certification required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain standard and complex nerve conduction recordings.
• Prepare and clean testing rooms.
• Communicate with patients, physicians and staff to ensure safety and service quality.
• Operate and calibrate EMG equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of tests and results.
