Job summary

The Neurodiagnostic Tech EMG/NCV at Vanderbilt University Medical Center prepares patients for and conducts routine Neurodiagnostic procedures, including neonatal exams, at the bedside, and in critical care units, on all ages of patients served by the department independently.

Collects data pertinent to the interpretation of test results and assists other senior technologists or medical staff with complex recordings.

Qualifications

• EMG/NCV experience (REQUIRED)

Responsibilities

• Performs all Neurodiagnostic procedures as assigned associated with the proper execution of EEG and at least one other modality in accordance with the established department and hospital policies and procedures.
• Assists to identify patient and family learning needs and provides pertinent information regarding the procedure that is appropriate for age and level of learning to the patient and/or family.
• Assists the Lead Neurodiagnostic Lab Technologist in the oversight of lab operations and training of staff.
