Job summary

Sony Pictures Entertainment is seeking a paid trainee for an in-person, full-time seasonal program in Culver City, CA. You will gain hands-on publicity and talent relations experience across domestic and international properties while supporting the team with day-to-day tasks and strategic campaigns.

You will work closely with publicists, participate in press activities, and have opportunities for executive engagement, learning the workflow from plan to execution.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have an undergraduate degree.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executives, talent, and teams.
• Strong computer skills and problem-solving ability.
• Self-starter with a team-player attitude.

Responsibilities

• Learn to cover and manage a publicist's desk in the talent relations and publicity department.
• Assist with scheduling, tracking press clippings, press interviews and junkets.
• Assist with set visits, EPK/promo shoots, talent tours and awards efforts.
• Participate in marketing and PR brainstorm sessions and research projects.
• Develop relationships with platform and network partners; shadow a campaign launch when possible.
