Job summary

SIRTOA is offering an Operations Support, Emerging Talent Intern position in Staten Island, NY. The role is onsite at 845 Bay Street with hourly rates of $19.00 (Undergraduate) and $21.00 (Graduate).

The intern will support administrative and operational tasks, maintain files, develop training databases, and assist in process improvements while gaining exposure to cross-departmental operations in a transportation context.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
• The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills.
• Able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently while being an active team player.
• Authorized to work in the United States; transcript must be submitted.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all departmental electronic and paper files.
• Create a program for reporting financial analyses to stakeholders in a visual/analytical platform.
• Update records in PeopleSoft/Enterprise Learning Management system.
• Assist in testing internal controls and system safety compliance.
• Create and maintain databases for records management.
• Schedule interviews with candidates and gather documents.
• Provide recommendations to improve processes.
• General office duties including research, data entry, filing, scanning and coordination.
