Job summary

Seneca Resources in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Jr. Systems Administrator to be the first point of contact for server upgrades and new hardware/software installation. The role includes designing and implementing security policies and maintaining applications and systems for data reporting and interdepartmental communication.

You will provide level 1 and 2 support for PCs and printers, manage Active Directory users, and assist in project implementations with IT hardware inventory and imaging.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal communication and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows 7/8.1, Server 2008 R2/2012 R2, basic networking, and PC hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Experience providing level 1 & 2 IT support for PCs and printers.

Responsibilities

• Provide level 1 & 2 support for PCs, printers, and general network problems.
• Build, implement, and manage development activities and requests with effective time management and problem solving.
• Manage IT hardware inventory, user accounts, AD groups, imaging, software deployment, and device configuration.
