Supervises customer service associates and designated hitters. Responsible for managing the front end of the store and making recommendations on the overall operations of the Pharmacy and Retail Store.
Supports Store Manager with the overall operation of the store to achieve company deliverables; works alternate schedule with the Store Manager with minimal overlap; assumes responsibilities of all store activities in the absence of the Store Manager. Ensures proper merchandising, protection of store assets, and improves store sales and profitability.
Leads and manages store team members, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline of direct reports to ensure teams are engaged and responsible for achieving company goals.
Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer complaints promptly and answers questions to ensure a positive experience. Shares customer service best practices.
- Monitors customer service, provides coaching and training, and develops improvement plans for both front-end and pharmacy teams. Empowers team members to resolve customer issues effectively, aiming to exceed expectations and build loyalty.
- Accountable for improving overall customer service metrics.
Operations
- Supervises store operations and team activities, including assigning daily tasks, delegating responsibilities, managing shifts, and approving schedules and time off.
- Collaborates with external partners to support community outreach and store development.
- Supports data-driven decision-making by analyzing operational and performance data, monitoring impact, and implementing improvements.
- Oversees cash management, inventory control, store maintenance, safety protocols, and compliance with policies and laws.
Business Performance Management
- Analyzes financial and performance data to create action plans for store growth and improvement.
- Uses KPIs and other tools to motivate the team and identify sales opportunities.
- Supports pharmacy operations during busy periods, including serving as a pharmacy technician if needed.
People & Performance Management
- Leads, trains, and mentors team members, managing performance and discipline.
- Recruits and retains talent, develops future leaders, and manages staffing needs.
- Fosters a culture of accountability with clear expectations and performance reviews.
Training & Personal Development
- Completes required training programs and certifications.
- Seeks continuous feedback and self-improvement opportunities.
- Maintains necessary licenses and certifications.
Communications
- Ensures open communication through meetings and one-on-one discussions.
- Assists in planning and communicating store strategies.
- Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, leadership skills, and flexibility in scheduling and location.
