Job summary

HNTB's Raleigh, NC office is seeking an Engineer I to join our Roadway design team. You will collaborate with professional engineers to prepare roadway designs, plans, maps, and other tasks from development through closeout in a range of projects for NCDOT, City of Raleigh and other agencies.

You will contribute to successful project delivery across conceptual to final design, supporting reports and cost estimates while building experience in roadway engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Familiarity with OpenRoads Designer and AutoCAD or similar software.
• Understanding of roadway design engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
• Supports preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
• Assists in preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.
• Assists engineering teams with organization and admin of design files.
• Supports teams with research, data collection, field investigations, and design tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
