Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with OpenRoads, MicroStation and AutoCAD preferred.

Position Overview

Roadway Engineer II in HNTB’s Raleigh, NC office. Works on complex roadway projects for NCDOT, enhancing communities and transit mobility. Coordinate and deliver projects from start‑up to closeout within scope, budget, and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work within scheduled hours.
• Prepare or modify project reports, plans, designs and calculations.
• Develop project quantities and assist with cost estimates.
• Provide administrative support for design files.
• Conduct research, data collection, field investigations, and design and development of roadway projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience, or
• Master’s degree in Engineering and 1 year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
• Experience with NCDOT or SCDOT
• Knowledge of OpenRoads
• Knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
