Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) seeks an Associate Professor in the School of Population & Public Health to advance teaching, research, and public health practice. The candidate will deliver undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor students, and build an active program of scholarly activity aligned with programmatic, institutional, and accreditation standards.

The ideal candidate will have a doctorate in public health or a closely related field, with a record of teaching

Qualifications

• PhD/DrPH/ScD/MD or equivalent in public health or related field.
• Evidence of teaching and mentoring at undergrad/grad levels.
• Active program of scholarly activity and evidence of ongoing research.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate public health courses.
• Design and update curricula and syllabi per accreditation standards.
• Mentor students in applied practice experiences and capstone projects.
• Develop and sustain an independent or collaborative program of scholarship.
• Engage in community partnerships and public health practice.
• Contribute to governance and service within the department and school.
