Job summary

JLL in Richmond, VA is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support the delivery of retail construction projects for a financial services client. You will assist with project execution, coordination, budget and schedule tracking, and maintain project documentation.

You will collaborate across clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams, manage risks, review contracts, and help ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in project management or related roles within real estate.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
• Knowledge of project management principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with real estate industry standards and construction processes.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to travel for project-related meetings and site visits.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in overseeing project development and execution, including budget management, schedule adherence, and quality control.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to support effective project communication and collaboration.
• Identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
• Support contract review, negotiation, and administration with vendors and suppliers.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, and status reports.
• Track project financial performance, monitor expenses, and maintain budget records.
• Coordinate meetings, prepare presentations, and support project-related administrative tasks.
• Assist with site visits and project-related meetings as needed.
• Support overall project team operations to help ensure timely and successful project delivery.
