Job summary

U.S. Engineering is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in planning and coordinating onsite construction activities.

You will help ensure objectives are met within timeframes and budgets while maintaining safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include coordinating purchasing, subcontracts, and schedules, monitoring progress, and fostering strong client and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in construction-related fields; equivalent training considered.
• Minimum 4–6 years’ technical or administrative HVAC, piping, and plumbing experience in commercial/industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager with client relationships and project coordination.
• Coordinate purchasing, procurement, subcontracts, submittals, and project schedules.
• Monitor project progress and budget; ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Support project profitability and foster relationships with team, clients, and vendors.
• Review submittals and manage subcontractor proposals and scope reviews.
• Coordinate safety programs and job site safety reviews; handle project correspondence.
• Identify opportunities for new projects and pursue them accordingly.
• Contribute to project closeouts and uphold company values.
