Sun Recruiting, Inc. seeks an Assistant Project Manager for Richmond-area heavy civil/highway construction. You will pair with a Senior PM and take on submittals, RFIs, procurement, and cost tracking from day one, with a path to manage your own projects in the future.

You’ll coordinate subcontractors and quantities, monitor budgets, and support monthly requisitions while contributing to safety and schedule reliability in a growing portfolio across Virginia and nearby markets.

Competenze

• 3–10 years on heavy civil, highway, or utility projects.
• Working knowledge of construction scheduling and cost tracking.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, and/or equivalent field experience.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record; travel is primarily local.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Richmond area; relocation assistance available.

Mansioni

• Run daily project operations: submittals, RFIs, procurement and material tracking.
• Coordinate subcontractors, supplier purchase orders, and schedule commitments.
• Track quantities, production, and costs against budget; flag variances early.
• Support monthly payment requisitions, cost projections, and project documentation.
• Attend weekly project team meetings to review schedule and cost.
