Job summary

The Operations Leadership Trainee at WebstaurantStore is an entry-level salaried leadership program designed to teach the distribution center operations, leadership expectations, and cross-department coordination.

The role requires flexibility across shifts, participation in training, and rotation through departments to gain full understanding. After training, placement in a permanent leadership position is expected.

Initially mainly day shift, with time across multiple shifts to cover needs.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant management experience preferred but not required.
• Associate degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working in a distribution environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day decisions of the assigned department/shift regarding performance, process and leadership.
• Learn and understand the process of each department/shift; identify areas of improvement.
• Engage in leadership discussions and apply WebstaurantStore leadership principles daily.
• Monitor metrics and resolve operating issues; support corrective actions and progressive discipline.
• Interact with employees to promote engagement and ensure safety regulations are followed.
• Other duties as assigned.
