Job summary

Biancofiori Masonry Inc. in Indianapolis is seeking a Foreman-in-Training to develop leadership while performing skilled masonry on active jobsites.

You will work closely with experienced Foremen and Superintendents to gain hands-on crew supervision, plan and coordinate tasks, read plans, and uphold safety standards.

This pathway role blends fieldwork with leadership development and offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and progressive responsibility toward a Foreman position.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of masonry or construction experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of masonry techniques, tools, and materials.
• Strong work ethic and reliability with willingness to learn leadership skills.
• Ability to take direction and grow into a supervisory role.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read basic construction drawings (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Foreman with daily jobsite operations and crew supervision.
• Support planning, coordination, and execution of masonry work (brick, block, stone).
• Help assign tasks and monitor crew productivity and quality of work.
• Enforce safety policies and ensure a safe jobsite environment.
• Participate in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment to ensure efficient workflow.
• Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and other trades.
• Lead small crews or tasks under supervision as part of training development.
• Track progress, assist with reporting, and help resolve jobsite issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite.
• Perform hands-on masonry work as needed.
