Sonoco's Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is designed to help you develop leadership skills, gain technical knowledge, establish strong business skills and understand Sonoco’s culture and processes. The program blends hands-on experiences and opportunities to contribute to Sonoco through valuable project work, within the Columbus Operating Center in Columbus, Ohio.

The ELP role offers exposure to four major segments and a pathway to leadership roles such as Plant Manager or Director of Finance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering by Dec 2026 or May 2027.
• Previous internship experience (manufacturing or related area).
• Proven leadership experience.
• Desire to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical aptitude.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Technical Skills Training (Safety, Quality, Scheduling, Customer satisfaction).
• Engage in Leadership Training (Supervisory skills, Performance Management, Mentorship).
• Gain Business Insights (Accountability, Execution, Risk taking, Budgeting).
• Contribute to Culture Integration (Communication, Collaboration, Innovation).
