Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a Surveyor in Training to work under a Registered Land Surveyor on boundary surveys, plats, construction calculations and topographic projects in Fort Worth, TX. You will prepare drawings, analyze field data and perform simple calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

The role requires a Surveyor in Training certification in Texas, strong math and communication skills, and the ability to work with field crews and office staff in a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Surveyor in Training in Texas is required.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential.
• Able to analyze survey data and guide field crews as needed.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Registered Land Surveyor, provide technical support using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Complete detailed drawings from field data and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Review work for completeness before RP.L.S. review.
• Prepare drawings and simple calculations with instructions.
• Conduct fieldwork upon request.
• Assist with deed research, base maps, field crew data, and final drawings.
• Process field data into plats or Metes and Bounds descriptions.
