Job summary

Skanska is seeking a dynamic Estimator in Carteret, New Jersey to develop accurate, timely cost estimates for large, complex heavy civil projects. You’ll coordinate with senior staff to ensure budgets and schedules and manage project risk.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management and at least 3 years of relevant experience. You will analyze subcontractor quotes, prepare scopes, and contribute to a culture focused on diversity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree - Engineering, Construction Management or similar technical training/experience.
• 3 years prior relevant experience.
• Practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate, timely and detailed cost estimates on large, complex heavy civil projects for bid-build, design build, CM/GC, PPP and EPC projects.
• Support delivery of properly organized estimates, budgets and schedules, including managing Skanska's risk.
• Prepare subcontractor and vendor work scopes, quote analysis, and estimating the cost of self-perform work.
• Meet critical deadlines and work independently and as part of a team.

Education
