Job summary

Skanska in New York City is seeking a dynamic Lead Estimator for our NYC Metro area heavy civil infrastructure team. You will lead cost estimating on large, complex transportation projects across bid-build, design-build, and EPC frameworks, coordinating with design teams, procurement, and field operations to deliver accurate, timely estimates.

As a self-starter, you will manage quantity surveys, prepare subcontractor and vendor scopes, analyze quotes, and oversee self-perform cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or similar technical training.
• 5+ years of relevant experience at a self-perform general contractor on large-scale transportation infrastructure projects.
• Strong scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution skills.
• Advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education plus experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate, timely, and detailed cost estimates for large heavy civil and mechanical projects.
• Perform quantity surveys, prepare subcontractor/vendor scopes and quote analysis.
• Estimate self-perform work and coordinate with bid teams to meet deadlines.
• Lead as Pursuit Sponsor when project value requires it and guide the estimating team.
