Boutique Recruiting is seeking a Junior Employment Litigation Associate in Sacramento, CA. The attorney will support employer-side litigation by drafting discovery, pleadings, and motions, and assisting with agency statements throughout the litigation lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is an early-career attorney with strong writing and analytical skills, sound judgment, and initiative to gain meaningful hands-on experience within a nationally recognized labor and employment firm.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of litigation experience.
• Active California State Bar membership.
• Employment litigation experience preferred.
• Experience drafting discovery, pleadings, motions, or agency statements.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft and respond to written discovery.
• Prepare complaints, answers, and initial pleadings.
• Research and draft dispositive and non-dispositive motions.
• Prepare agency position statements.
• Assist with deposition preparation and take/defend depositions.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex employment law issues.
• Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation.
• Assist with case strategy, document review, and hearing preparation.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
• Manage multiple assignments and deadlines across matters.
