Qualifications

• A J.D. with outstanding academic performance; moot court, law review or clerkships preferred.
• 0–3 years of experience as a lawyer in a law firm, in-house department or government.
• Experience managing or supporting employment litigation and agency proceedings preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven leadership and teamwork; willingness to rotate into other legal practice groups; state bar membership in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal counseling to HR professionals and business leaders on employment law matters, including hiring, discipline and termination, accommodations, leaves, anti-discrimination, wage-hour compliance, and investigations.
• Monitor federal, state, and local employment law developments and communicate changes and implications to stakeholders.
• Develop, draft, and review employment policies and handbooks to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Deliver employment law compliance training for HR clients and partners.
