Job summary

Pride Mobility Products/Quantum Rehab is seeking a firmware engineer to develop, test and maintain embedded software for medical devices. You will collaborate with hardware engineers, write firmware in C/C++ and document software throughout the SDLC.

You will create test plans, execute verification, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. This role requires an associate degree and US work authorization; 1+ year embedded firmware experience and knowledge of

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• At least 1 year of experience developing firmware for embedded systems.
• Experience writing and reviewing technical software documentation.
• Excellent programming skills in C and/or C++.
• Knowledge of CAN, CANopen, CAN bus, SMBus/SMB, I2C, SPI and Serial protocols.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop embedded systems.
• Design and code firmware in C/C++ for systems based on documented requirements.
• Document software during the development process per internal standards.
• Create test plans and write test scripts to verify requirements.
• Execute verification tests and document results.
• Troubleshoot and debug non-conforming software systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
