WSP is seeking a Full-Time Early Career Electrical Engineer (ESSP) for our Hailey, Idaho office to contribute to the Power and Energy Team on utility-scale projects. You will participate in data collection, analysis, and documentation while learning design, calculations, and delivery in a collaborative environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 0–1 years of post-education experience.
• Excellent research skills with analytical mindset.
• Understand electrical engineering as applied to design of large projects.
• Familiar with laws, codes, and record-keeping for electrical construction.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engineering audiences.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently or in a team and meet objectives.
• Proficiency with technical writing and common software/tools.
• Familiar with design software (AutoCAD Electrical, CADD).
• Engineer in Training certification preferred.
• Relocation not available for this role.

Responsabilidades

• Under supervision, assist with data collection and analysis related to substation components and procurement.
• Assist with IFR/IRC design review and IEEE/NESC/NERC standards compliance.
• Design support for single/three-line diagrams, grounding, and protection layouts.
• Provide entry-level technical assistance on equipment sizing, cabling, and conduit strategies.
• Verify site characteristics and assist with design, testing, and construction procedures.
• Develop electrical calculations for loads, feeders, voltage drop, and lighting.
• Generate concise documentation using drawings and field logs.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and project procedures.
• Complete training on assigned tasks and follow company policies.
• Travel may be required depending on project needs.
• Must be able to work in the United States immediately.
