Job summary

WSP in St. Louis, Missouri, is hiring an Associate Electrical Engineer to join our Property & Buildings team.

You will contribute to the design and delivery of electrical systems for diverse facilities, from planning through construction administration, working with seasoned engineers. You will gain experience with load calculations, lighting design, emergency power, fire alarm, and coordination with architects and other engineers using Revit and AutoCAD in a collaborative, mentorship-focused

Qualifications

ABET-accredited degree in electrical engineering.
1–3 years of experience in building electrical systems design or consulting.
EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

Assist with design of building electrical systems: power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, low-voltage.
Prepare construction documents, specs, calculations, reports, and studies.
Perform load calculations, voltage drop, short-circuit analyses under senior staff.
Develop designs and construction docs using Revit, AutoCAD and related software.
Coordinate with architects and MEP engineers and other stakeholders.
Support field activities: site visits, inspections, RFIs, and deliverables.
