Job summary

Eight Eleven Group is seeking a Junior Data Engineer in Charlotte, NC on a hybrid schedule (three days onsite, two days remote). This is a 12‑ to 24‑month contract through Brooksource, with potential for conversion based on performance. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

You will support data pipelines, leverage AWS and Snowflake, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment. Ideal for recent graduates or early‑career professionals learning data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines with SQL and Python.
• Familiarity with AWS (S3, Lambda, Glue) and Snowflake for data ingestion and processing.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining batch and near real‑time data pipelines using SQL and Python.
• Support data ingestion, transformation, and processing within Snowflake and AWS.
• Create and maintain datasets, data models, and reporting assets for analytics and business teams.
• Contribute to ETL/ELT workflows integrating data from various source systems.
• Participate in testing and troubleshooting data pipelines to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Learn and apply data engineering best practices for scalability, performance, and security.
• Work with AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue) and other data‑focused technologies under guidance of senior engineers.
