Job description

We're looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to play a key role in shaping the future of a modern enterprise data platform. In this role, you'll help design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions that power analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision making across the organization.

What You'll Do

• Help define and drive the technical strategy and roadmap for the enterprise data platform.
• Design, develop, and implement scalable data engineering solutions across multiple initiatives.
• Architect and optimize modern data pipelines, data movement processes, and enterprise data products.
• Build automated data engineering workflows, monitoring, alerting, and operational tooling.
• Partner closely with product owners, scrum masters, architects, and business stakeholders to prioritize work and deliver business value.
• Translate complex business problems into scalable technical solutions that generate actionable insights.
• Collaborate across technology and business teams to prototype, design, and implement modern data architectures.
• Create and maintain thorough technical documentation to support long-term sustainability and knowledge sharing.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices across the team.
• Contribute to Agile planning, technical design discussions, and continuous process improvement.
• Help foster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture focused on innovation and continuous learning.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience designing, building, and delivering enterprise-scale data engineering solutions.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Deep expertise with Change Data Capture (CDC) technologies, ideally Qlik Replicate.
• Strong experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL and SQL Server, with an emphasis on performance optimization.
• Experience designing modern, high-volume, low-latency data architectures and data movement solutions.
• Strong understanding of modern DevOps practices, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and software engineering best practices.
• Proven ability to independently own existing systems while continuously improving architecture and reliability.
• Experience designing and maintaining complex enterprise data models.
• Working knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate tradeoffs and develop innovative solutions to complex business challenges.
