Job summary

Howard University seeks a Manager for Student and Young Alumni Engagement to design, implement, and assess programs that foster lifelong relationships between the University and its students and young alumni. The Manager serves as the primary Alumni Relations liaison to student organizations, recent graduates, and campus partners to cultivate involvement and philanthropy.

This role requires strategic thinking, event management, and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Must have 1-6 years of progressive administrative and office management experience.
• Evening and weekend work may be required to support events.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and evaluate engagement programs for students and young alumni.
• Serve as liaison to major student organizations and campus partners.
• Advise the Pre-Alumni Association and connect students with Alumni Clubs.
• Coordinate senior-year initiatives and graduation-related programs.
• Deliver presentations and workshops on alumni engagement and professional development.
• Plan and implement early-career alumni outreach and regional events.
• Partner with Career and Professional Development to promote mentoring and alumni-student connections.
