Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas (AEHNT) in Grapevine, TX, is seeking an experienced Emergency Veterinary Technician to join a fast-paced, 24/7 emergency team. You will provide advanced nursing care, assist with anesthesia, and collaborate with specialists to deliver exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician credentials preferred and two years of veterinary experience requested.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities are essential.
• Fluent English speaking and reading skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to emergency and hospitalized patients throughout treatment and recovery.
• Place IV catheters, collect blood samples, administer medications, and manage IV fluid therapy.
• Assist with emergency diagnostics, treatments, and supportive care procedures.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with emergency and surgical procedures.
• Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and promptly communicate changes in patient condition.
• Safely restrain and handle patients while maintaining comfort and minimizing stress.
• Assist with post-operative patient monitoring and recovery.
• Accurately document treatments, diagnostics, and patient observations within medical records.
• Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and clients regarding patient care plans.
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment and emergency areas.
