Job summary

South Atlanta Veterinary Emergency and Specialty (SAVES) Center in Fayetteville, GA seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician for the Emergency Department. The role involves night, weekend, and holiday shifts to support high‑volume emergency care and specialty services.

You will work closely with veterinarians to ensure quality care, manage patient flow, assist in surgeries, and educate clients about health concerns and Thrive options.

Qualifications

• Vet technician licensure is required.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred; or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care and educate clients.
• Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with the Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed technicians.
• Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options, medications, and treatments.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records with the practice systems.
