Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare’s SAVES Center in Fayetteville, GA is seeking a Veterinary Technician for the Emergency Department. This role supports veterinarians, aids in surgeries, and handles outpatient care in a fast-paced, 24/7 setting with a focus on compassionate patient care.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of clinical experience and/licensure preferred but not required, with an AVMA‑accredited program degree or equivalent education.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a veterinary technician preferred but not required.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA‑accredited veterinary technology program preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality care and educate clients.
• Assist with patient flow to maximize productivity and maintain efficient operations.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in line with credentialing guidelines.
• Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records with practice systems support.
• Obtain health history and update medical charts as needed.
• Use safe restraint techniques and maintain clean, sterile treatment areas and labs.
• Mentor and support fellow team members.
