Job summary

South Metro Animal Emergency Care in Apple Valley, MN is seeking a Licensed CVT/LVT for our 24/7 AAHA-accredited emergency hospital. You’ll work with DVMs, provide high-level patient care, and contribute to fast-paced emergency cases.

You’ll perform triage, assist with anesthesia, place IV catheters and lines, monitor hospitalized patients, and mentor teammates. Competitive pay ($24–$32/hour), shift differentials, sign-on bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• CVT/LVT credential in good standing, emergency-ready.
• Experience in emergency medicine preferred.
• Excellent client communication and teamwork.
• Ability to work long shifts and adapt to fast pace.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial triage and collaborate with DVMs.
• Review treatment plans with clients with empathy.
• Place IV catheters, NG tubes, central/PICC lines.
• Apply splints and bandages; monitor anesthesia.
• Oversee treatments for hospitalized patients; mentor teammates.
