Job summary

Avets is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our 12-hour shift team in Monroeville, PA. You will assist in triage, trauma assessments, and anesthesia monitoring while collaborating with veterinarians and support staff to deliver lifesaving care.

Qualifications

• Foundational veterinary knowledge including restraint, triage, imaging, and venipuncture.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy, calculations, and monitor anesthesia.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent English speaking and reading required.
• Licensed technician preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform proficient patient triage and rapid trauma assessments.
• Conduct diagnostics, emergency stabilization, and patient care.
• Coordinate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.
