Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Ardmore, PA is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician (Relief/Part-Time) to join our front-line emergency team. You’ll work with doctors and a supportive team to deliver gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care in a fast-paced ER setting.

You will handle triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing while maintaining compassion for pets and their families in stressful moments.

Qualifications

• AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program required or strongly preferred
• State-credentialed CVT/RVT/LVT in the VEG location is required
• 1+ year of veterinary technician experience; emergency or specialty medicine preferred

Responsibilities

• Treat every patient and person like they matter and stay by their side through tests and treatments
• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support in critical moments from triage to discharge
• Administer meds, monitor patients, and manage IVs/CRIs and transfusions
• Communicate as a teammate and help shape plans to keep care flowing
• Perform CPR as trained and maintain readiness and proficiency
• Handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tubing placement
• Assist anesthesia for a range of patients, including fragile cases
• Utilize central lines, endoscopy, ultrasounds, and other advanced techniques
