Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in the United States is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians to support our busy Emergency and Critical Care department. This role offers a pay range of $21.00 to $42.00 per hour, dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will induce, monitor and recover anesthesia, triage cases, perform digital radiography, monitor vital signs, and assist with CPR, IV catheters, feeding tubes, and

Qualifications

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia and use anesthesia equipment.
• Triage emergency cases and monitor vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography with proper positioning.
• Have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs including heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia for emergency patients.
• Triage emergencies and monitor vitals; document findings.
• Perform radiographs and assist with procedures as needed.
