BluePearl Pet Hospital in Houston, TX is seeking experienced Relief Veterinary Technicians to join our busy Emergency and Critical Care department. As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia, triage incoming cases, and support veterinary teams with advanced monitoring and procedures.

You will work alongside talented veterinary professionals, mentor junior staff, and help provide exceptional care for critically ill patients.

Qualifications

• Licensed veterinary technician (CVT) in the U.S.
• Experience in emergency/critical care settings preferred.
• Ability to monitor and assist during procedures and anesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Triage emergency cases and monitor vitals.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique.
• Maintain and interpret vital signs with alert to Veterinarian.
• Assist in CPR and emergency resuscitation.
• Place IV catheters and perform phlebotomy.
• Assist with feeding tube and central line placement.
• Mentor and train staff.
• Provide compassionate client communication.
