Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in North Hills, Pittsburgh seeks a Kennel Assistant for our Emergency Department with potential duties across departments. Pay ranges from $15.95 to $18.33 per hour, with shift differentials for nights and weekends.

VTS credentialing holders are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience. The role includes caring for patients, ensuring cleanliness, and supporting treatment areas.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients for health concerns and report to senior staff
• Clean and disinfect hospital areas to maintain high standards of care
• Prepare patient meals, clean cages and bedding, and maintain litter boxes
• Safely restrain cooperative patients during treatments
• Provide routine patient care including walking dogs
• Clean and maintain hospital equipment and tools
• Record patient voids and report findings to senior staff
• Manage clean laundry and replenish supplies
• Patrol facility to ensure cleanliness
