Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Malvern, PA is seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our busy Emergency and Critical Care department. This fast-paced role lets you use your emergency skills and compassion for critically ill or injured pets, while growing with a team of talented veterinary professionals.

The position offers $22.00-$40.00 per hour with shift differentials for nights and weekends. Schedule is Friday to Sunday, 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced Veterinary Technician in emergency/ICU.
• Proficient in anesthesia induction and recovery.
• Skilled in phlebotomy and IV catheter placement.
• Capable of interpreting vitals and assisting with CPR.
• Comfortable mentoring teammates.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia and use monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergencies and record vitals.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique.
• Interpret vitals and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Identify patients at risk and initiate CPR.
• Calculate medical math and administer medications.
• Place feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Mentor and train co-workers.
• Address client concerns with empathy.
