Who We Need

We seek passionate, motivated team players who love animals and people, are honest, respectful, adaptable, eager to learn, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

1. Provide compassionate care to patients and clients.
2. Perform nursing tasks, patient monitoring, and treatments.
3. Triaging patients using understanding of diseases and assessment skills.
4. Administer medications and understand their effects.
5. Set up and monitor IV fluids and blood transfusions.
6. Participate in outpatient and inpatient care, including patient rounds.
7. Perform CPR as a RECOVER Certified Rescuer.
8. Collect samples, perform diagnostic tests, and assist with imaging.
9. Assist in sedation and anesthesia procedures under supervision.
10. Perform nursing care tasks like catheter placement and oxygen therapy.
11. Work with licensed veterinary technicians as part of the nursing team.
12. Obtain additional training in growth pathways, including technician credentialing, outreach, and leadership roles.

Veterinary Assistants may also, where permitted by law,:

1. Manage anesthesia with or without mechanical ventilation.
2. Perform advanced vascular access and diagnostic techniques.
3. Participate in treatment planning and additional training pathways.
