WHO WE NEED

We are looking for passionate, motivated, and team-oriented individuals who love working with animals and people. Candidates should be honest, respectful, adaptable, eager to learn, and capable of communicating effectively with peers, clients, and team members.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO
  • Provide compassionate care to patients and clients.
  • Perform nursing care tasks, monitor patients, and administer treatments.
  • Triaging incoming patients using knowledge of diseases and physical assessments.
  • Administer medications and understand their potential adverse effects.
  • Set up and monitor intravenous fluid therapy, including blood transfusions.
  • Contribute to outpatient and inpatient care as a team member.
  • Participate in patient rounds for continuity of care.
  • Perform CPR as a RECOVER Certified Rescuer.
  • Collect samples, perform diagnostic tests, and assist with diagnostic imaging.
  • Assist with sedation and anesthesia procedures under supervision.
  • Perform nursing tasks such as placing urinary catheters and maintaining oxygen therapy equipment.
  • Work closely with licensed veterinary technicians and participate in ongoing training and career growth pathways.

Veterinary Assistants may also, where permitted by law:

  • Manage anesthesia and vascular access procedures.
  • Perform advanced diagnostic techniques like ultrasonography.
  • Contribute to treatment and nursing care planning.
