Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in triaging, IV catheters, and blood draws.
• Surgical prep, anesthesia monitoring, and post-surgical recovery.
• Proper positioning for x-rays and running in-house lab work on Idexx machines.
• Safe animal restraint and euthanasia assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners, weigh and record vital signs.
• Triage patients, perform exams, and assist with medications.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients.
• Assist with administration of medications and restraints.
• Perform lab tests and radiographs.
• Maintain and operate hospital equipment.
• Fill prescriptions and maintain medication records.
• Communicate with clients about insurance, wellness and plans.
• Keep hospital clean and safe, manage overnight care.
• Maintain medical records and follow directions.
