Care Center Cincinnati is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Assistant for a full-time, first-shift role in Cincinnati, OH. The position supports veterinarians and technicians during exams and procedures, while ensuring high standards of patient care and client communication.

You will maintain hospital operations, document treatments, and uphold safety in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of one year of clinical experience and a high school diploma are required, with on-call and rotating weekends

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Schedule: Full Time | 1st shift | 7am-7:30pm | 3 days per week | Rotating Weekends | One On Call Shift Per Month

Compensation: $20-23/hr, Dependent On Experience

In Your Day-To-Day, You Will

• Provide Support to the Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians during exams, procedures and treatments while helping to ensure quality care for all patients


• Provide pet owners with clear home-care instructions and updates on hospitalized pets


• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless care


• Ensure clean, safe, and efficient hospital operations


• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments


• A positive, team-oriented attitude with initiative and a willingness to help


• The ability to remain focused, calm, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment


• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills


• Experience assessing patient behavior and safely restraining and handling fractious patients


• A passion for animal care and continued professional development


• Basic computer proficiency


• At least one year of clinical experience


• A high school diploma, GED, or higher education


• The ability to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance
