Responsibilities
- Triage emergency patients and assist veterinarians with plans.
- Provide nursing care, monitor hospitalized patients, identify status changes.
- Collect diagnostic samples, assist imaging and procedures.
- Administer anesthesia, monitor recovery and patient comfort.
- Support fast-paced emergency department flow and client communication.
- Collaborate with veterinarians and technicians to ensure high-quality care.

Schedule: Full Time | 3rd shift | 3 Twelve Hour Shifts Per Week, 7pm-7am | Rotating Weekends
Compensation: $25-32 /hr | $3/hour Shift Differential | $2500 Hiring Bonus!

- Triage incoming emergency patients, assess their condition, and partner with veterinarians to develop diagnostic and treatment plans.
- Deliver exceptional nursing care by completing treatments, monitoring hospitalized patients, and recognizing changes in patient status to ensure timely intervention.
- Collect and process diagnostic samples, utilize advanced imaging, and assist with a variety of medical procedures to support accurate diagnoses and patient care.
- Safely administer, monitor, and recover patients from sedation and anesthesia while providing attentive care throughout every stage of their procedure.
- Help maintain the flow and organization of the Emergency and Critical Care department, ensuring patients receive efficient, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate compassionately with clients by providing updates, answering questions, educating them on treatment plans, and supporting them through patient admissions and discharges.
- Collaborate with a skilled team of veterinarians and technicians to provide exceptional care for every patient while advocating for their comfort and well-being.
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (RVT, CVT, LVT, or equivalent) with strong technical skills, including IV catheter placement, venipuncture, anesthesia induction and monitoring, patient preparation and recovery, surgical nursing, dental prophylaxis, radiography, and perioperative patient care.
- Previous experience in veterinary medicine with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced emergency and specialty environment.
- A collaborative, team-first mindset with the initiative to jump in where needed and support your colleagues to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate clients, work effectively with veterinarians and fellow team members, and adapt your communication style to a variety of situations.
- The ability to remain calm, adaptable, and composed while caring for critically ill patients and supporting clients through emotional and high-pressure situations.
- Strong organizational skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a dynamic hospital setting.
