VEG is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian in Peabody, MA. You will handle a broad spectrum of emergency cases, including exotic patients, in a mentorship-driven environment with ongoing educational programs and CE opportunities.

You will lead on- the-floor patient care, collaborate with a diverse team, and contribute to a high-energy ER culture designed to advance your career and impact for pets and their families.

Formación

• Live and breathe emergency medicine, including emergency surgery and endoscopy.
• Thrive in team-oriented environments with collaboration and mentorship.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on rotating basis.

Responsabilidades

• Answer medical questions over the phone.
• See patients immediately as part of VEG Triage and VEG Spikes.
• Gather signalment, presenting complaint, vitals, and exam results.
• Conduct physical exams, ultrasounds, X-rays, bloodwork, and biopsies.
• Create diagnostic and therapeutic plans and communicate with customers.
• Prepare estimates and discuss treatment options with customers.
• Create and review medical records for accuracy.
• Explain the value of tests and treatments to customers.
• Perform minor and major emergency surgeries.
• Educate customers on aftercare and preventive measures.
