Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to provide high‑quality care for companion animals and exotics, with on‑the‑floor leadership and a path for career growth. You’ll engage in mentorship, continuous learning, and VEG Education programs while handling a wide range of emergencies and surgeries.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, team‑driven ER environment, supported by a culture focused on learning, development, and opportunities to advance within VEG.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required.
• Live and breathe emergency medicine, including emergency surgery and endoscopy.
• Thrive in team-oriented environments with collaboration and mentorship.
• Stand, kneel, and lift up to 25 kg, with assistance for up to 40 kg.
• Must tolerate noisy environments and strong odors.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Work well in a fast-paced, diverse team setting.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions over the phone.
• See patients promptly as part of VEG triage.
• Gather signalment, presenting complaint, vitals, and exams.
• Perform physical exams and diagnostic tests.
• Create diagnostic and therapeutic plans.
• Communicate diagnoses and options to clients.
• Prepare cost estimates for clients.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
