Job summary

VEG is a veterinary emergency medicine leader focused on mentorship, learning, and exceptional care for pets and their families. We seek an Emergency Veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced ER and is passionate about advanced surgical and diagnostic techniques, including endoscopy, with strong teamwork and client communication.

You will handle a wide range of emergencies, contribute to a supportive hospital culture, and benefit from ongoing education and growth opportunities across our network.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree is required.
• Emergency medicine experience and endoscopy skills preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-sensitivity environment.
• Comfortable working night shifts, weekends, and holidays on rotation.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions and triage emergencies over the phone when appropriate.
• See patients immediately and manage diagnoses with a diagnostic plan.
• Perform a range of procedures, from routine to complex surgeries, including endoscopy.
• Educate clients on diagnoses, treatments and aftercare; document care accurately.
