VEG for Pets in Santa Cruz is seeking a part-time Emergency Veterinarian. You will provide urgent care for a variety of cases, including exotics, work within a mentorship-driven hospital, and participate in continuous ER-focused training.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree is required.
• Experience in emergency medicine and surgeries is preferred.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays on rotation.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions over the phone and triage patients.
• See patients on arrival and conduct exams, diagnostics, and treatments.
• Prepare estimates and communicate treatment options to clients.
• Perform emergency surgeries and endoscopic procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and provide ongoing care guidance.
