Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian in New York. You will diagnose and treat diverse emergency cases, including surgeries and exotics, in a hospital that emphasizes mentorship, learning, and ongoing clinical education.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required.
• Emergency medicine experience preferred.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Answer medical questions over the phone.
• See patients immediately as part of VEG Triage and VEG Spikes.
• Gather signalment, presenting complaint, vitals and exam.
• Conduct physical exams with ultrasounds, X-rays, bloodwork and biopsies.
• Diagnose and create a diagnostic/therapeutic plan.
