Qualifications

• Licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) and PA licensure eligibility.
• Emergency and critical care experience or strong interest, including triage and stabilization.
• Proficiency in exams, labs, radiology and point-of-care imaging.
• Wound management, fluids, pain control, and basic soft-tissue surgery.
• Strong communication with clients, explaining conditions and prognoses clearly.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
• Commitment to compassionate, fear-free handling and patient-centered care.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing learning, mentorship and development; ER experience beneficial.
• Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Triage and manage small animal and occasional exotic emergencies.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations and provide high-quality medical and surgical care.
